James Gunn designed the ‘CREATURE COMMANDOS’ before he took over DC
It follows a group of military superhumans consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, a Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon. Gunn then greenlit the project himself when he became CEO of DC Studios.

I’ve always loved the DC Universe and while I think the DCEU is overrated, I’ve been very disappointed with a few DCEU projects. This series has fantastic characters and is extremely creative.
I think when James Gunn says that superhero movies and TV have become too generic, he’s right
There have been so many superhero movies in the last decade that when people see a new one coming out, they don’t go to the theaters because they think “another superhero movie, there have been too many”; Since they’re all the same, just generic action movies (mainly sequels) I think James Gunn is really going to change things up and I can’t wait for him. I also think that since Marvel is so much more popular, DC has a lot of great characters that have been overlooked (by fans), and I think if everything DC releases in the next few years, the lesser known characters will be able to do well at the box office as long as they can grab people’s attention and have a real special feel to them.
